Abstract
This study aims to determine whether there is an influence and how much influence self-concept has on learning independence at Bodhisattva Junior High School Bandar Lampung. The obstacles faced by students are: 1) students do not have a strong sense of self-confidence, 2) students are not able to appreciate themselves well, 3) many students cannot carry out their obligations, 4) most students are not focused. in learning causes students not to take notes during learning, 5) and finally students are always late in submitting assignments. Self-concept is a person's personal view of seeing oneself and being able to feel what is inside of him, as well as images and views of others about the individual himself. While learning independence is an activity of students in learning that is full of responsibility to achieve success in learning. This research includes descriptive quantitative research with data processing techniques based on the results of the distribution of the instrument. The researcher used a questionnaire with a total of 67 statements using a Likert scale. The subjects in this study were 32 students from Bodhisattva Junior High School. The steps used to test the magnitude of the effect are using simple linear regression with the help of the IBM SPSS 26 program. Based on the results of hypothesis testing and simple linear regression, that self-concept affects the learning independence of students at Bodhisattva Junior High School Bandar Lampung.
