Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect aserftif behavior toward student confidence. This research was done because of the lack of confidence of the students in the lecture so that when the student learning process students tend inverior. This research was conducted at the School of Buddhism (STIAB) Jinarakkhita Bandar Lampung is located at Jl. Laksamana Malahayati No.35 Kel. Kangkung, Teluk Betung Selatan,Bandar Lampung.
Assertive behavior is the ability to express himself in a sincere, honest, clear, open, polite, spontaneous, is without any harm to others. Self-confidence is a belief and attitudes towards the capability to himself by accepting it as it is both positive and negative formed and studied through the learning process with the goal of happiness itself.Someone who can confidently complete the task or job that is developmentally appropriate fine,feel valued,have courage, optimistic and realistic.
The method used in this research is using descriptive quantitative research methods. The research subject is a student of School of Theology Buddha (STIAB) Jinarakkhita Bandar Lampung second semester of academic year 2015/2016,IV,VI and VIII totaling 55 students, 15 students used as a test instrument. The instrument used was a questionnaire with Likert scale.Data were analyzed using simple linear regression analysis approach.
Based on data analysis of the obtained average value on assertive behavior by 45% classified in the high category. While confidence gained an average value of 55% and were classified in the category quite on the level of student confidence. Results of simple linear regression testing the results obtained by value t = 5.163 and Sig = 0.000,The interpretation of the results obtained by the Sig 0,000=0% <5% means that Ho refused and Ha accepted. While the value of R square in this study was 0.412, which means that assertive behavior affects the student confidence 41.2%.
Based on the results of data analysis has been performed, we conclude that there is influence assertive behavior against student confidence School of Buddhism (STIAB) Jinarakkhita Bandar Lampung academic year 2015/2016.The big influence was 41.2% and 59.8% still student confidence is influenced by other factors.
