Abstract
The purpose of this study was to see the effect of Counseling Guidance on Discipline of Class X and Class XI Students of SMA Bodhisattva Bandar Lampung for the 2019/2020 academic year. The problems that occur are there are still students who often sleep in class, there are still students going out in certain subjects, some students who come late to school, there are students who litter, there are still students who cheat.
Group guidance or group counseling services aim to develop individual socialization skills, especially communication skills for service participants and solving personal problems that interfere with. Discipline is defined as compliance with rules, regulations, norms or being subject to supervision and control.
This research includes descriptive qualitative research with data processing techniques based on the results of the distribution of instruments. The tools for collecting data were in the form of a questionnaire with a total of 80 items and 47 students as respondents, using a Likert scale for their answers. The initial steps used to test the effect using simple linear regression with the help of the SPSS 23 program.
Based on the results of hypothesis testing and simple linear regression, the thitung value is obtained 18.572 and t table with a significance of 0.000, while thitung with n = 47 and α = 0.05 is 1,678, it can be assumed that thiung> ttable (18,572> 1,678) or sig <0.05 (0,000 <0.05), then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. While the R Square in this study was 0.885 which means that counseling has an effect on student discipline by 88,5%.
Based on the results of the analysis that has been done, it can be concluded that there is an effect of counseling on the discipline of students of SMA Bodhisattva Bandar Lampung. The magnitude of this influence is 88,5%, while 11,5% is influenced by other factors not included in this study.
