Abstract

The purpose of this research is to prove whether there is an influence and how much influence is generalited by distance learning on the character of student discipline. This research took place at the Jinarakkhita school of Buddhism in lampung. At this time the world was hit by an outbreak of the Coronavirus disease-2019, one of its impacts in the field of education. This impact can be seen in the learning process, namely applying the Distance Learning System. Distance learning itself aims to mee! educational standards by utilizing information technology by using computers or gadgets that are interconnected between students and teachers or between students and lecturers. Through the use of technology, the teaching and learning process can still be carried out properly. Learning is an effort to build character. One of the character is discipline character. Students who have a disciplined attitude at home or in the community will make someone a quality person, especially in terms of attitude and moral values. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The subjects of this study were students of the Jinarakkhita School of Budhism in Lampung with a Total of 66 students. Methods of data collection using observation and questionnaires (questionnaires). The data analysis technique was carried out by descriptive analysis, statical analysis perquisite test and simple linier regression analysis Based on the results of the research that is a significant influence between the distance learning variables on the discipline character variables of the students of the Jinaralkhita School of Buddhism, Lampung. Criteria for testing the hypothesis is to roject Ho it if t count>t table an vice versa. For the t distribution used dk = (n-2) and a + 0,05. Based on data analysis, it was obtained that t arithmetic = 7 974 while t table with n = 66 and a = 0.05 Obtained 1.669. then it can be seen that t arithmetic> t table (7.974>1.669) or sig (0.000<0.05), so it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so (hatthere is an effect of distance learning on the disciplinary character of the students of the Jinaralkhita School of Buddhism in Lampung in Academic 2020/2021
