Pengaruh Pola Asuh Demokratis Terhadap Perilaku Belajar Siswa Kelas VII Beragama Buddha SMP Xaverius 1 Palembang Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015

Children education, in fact, starts from home means obtainable from the parents. Parents have roles to take care, educate, direct, and guide. In addition, the parents have important role to form children behavior. Behavior closes to parenting system. During early observation, researcher found learning behavior problem in the Buddhist students of VII class in SMP Xaverius 1 Palembang, sush as lack of students' confidence, uncontrollable emotion, lack of discipline, daydreaming, chitchat with seatmate,playing mobile phone, sleep, and children out of the classroom for urination.
Democratic parenting is parenting parents who provide treatment to children in order to establish personality of them by providing rational interests. While, behavior is everything done and can be directly observed. Student learning behavior is a process occurring in every individual may affect behavior.
The research includes descriptive quantitative research with data processing technique based on deployment of instruments. Tool to collect data is 76 statement of questioner using a Likert scale to answer. The number of population in this research is 78 students. Step used to test the number of effect uses a simple linear regression with the help of SPSS 16.0.
The result of analysis of t obtained is 10.908 with a significant level of 0.000 while t table with n=78 and α = 0.05, obtained value of 1.664. It can be assumed that the sig> 0.05, then Ha accepted while sig <0.05 then Ho is rejected. Judging from the above calculation states that sig value 0,000 <0,05 so Ho was rejected. Therefore, based on the results obtained the democratic parenting had a significant influence on the behavior of Buddhist students of VII class SMP Xaverius 1 Palembang school year 2014/2015.
Based on the results of studies conducted, researcher concluded that democratic parenting effect on students' learning behavior. Hopefully this research can provide benefits for parents in parenting and readers in general.
