Abstract

This research aims to know the influence of satiphattana on learning achievement. This research was conducted because the students’ learning accomplishments did not reach maximally. Students got passive in learning, besides that discipline of students was still low and they did not have a strong motivation for the success of the others. On the other hand, students also did not aware to positive habits may increase the achievement learning. This study was done at SMPN 11 Pesawaran, SMPN 21 Pesawaran and SMP PGRI Pejambon
Satiphattana is the four true concerns in daily life which include contemplation of the body, feelings, consciousness and forms of thought. While learning achievement is the result of work or learning that shows a measure of proficiency in the form of values and expertise, consisting of academic and non-academic achievements covering cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects.
The research method used is quantitative descriptive with an ex post facto research design. The subjects of this research are students whose region is Buddhist at SMPN 11, SMPN 21 of Pesawaran and SMP PGRI at Pejambon numbering 28 students. Data collection techniques using questionnaires or questionnaires and the measurement scale is scale Likert. Data were analyzed using a simple linear regression analysis approach. Based on the data analysis, the value of the validation of the media expert was 88.8% with the qualification "very feasible" and the value of the material expert validation was 87% with very decent qualifications.
Based on the data recapitulation analysis shows that the satiphattana applied by students is in the “high” category which is equal to 76%, and learning achievement achieved by students is in the “high” category, which is 70%. The results of simple linear regression analysis obtained equation Y = 21.909 + 0.783. Hypothesis test shows the value of b1 / (bX) ≠ 0, which is 0.783; the significance level of 0,000 means 0,000 t table (2,056).
The result of this research shows that there is an influence ofsatiphattana on Buddhist students’ Achievement learning at junior high school at Pesawaran in 2018. The score of influence getting are about 48,7% and 51,3 % of students, the achievement is caused by other factors. Thus the researcher advises the education providers related to make efforts so that students, especially those who are Buddhists, have the habit of applying thesatiphattana regularly in daily life. Because this has a very positive impact on students’ achievement
