Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the Effect of Classical Teaching Style on Student Learning Interest in Buddhist Religious Education in Bodhisattva Middle School in 2019. The problem that occurs in Bodhisattva Middle School students is that there are still students who are less active in class when the chase process takes place, sometimes not paying attention to the teacher when delivering material, chatting with their friends, and feeling bored and bored.
Classical lane style Style is a learning style that is applied in trying to maintain and convey the old values of the previous generation to the next generation. The teaching style is dominated by the teacher, usually occurs students mostly silent or passive. Passivity sometimes makes it difficult for a teacher to do appropriate learning. Whereas interest in learning is a constant tendency to pay attention and remember some activities. Interest is basically the acceptance of a relationship between oneself and oneself.
This research is a descriptive quantitative research with data processing techniques based on the results of the distribution of the instrument. A tool to collect data in the form of questionnaires with 55 item statements using the Likert scale in the answer. The population in this study was 47 students. The steps used to test the magnitude of the effect using simple linear regression with the help of the SPSS 25 IBS program.
Based on the results of hypothesis testing and a simple linear regression obtained by value t arithmetic amounted to 1 0, 156 with a significant level of 0.000 while t table with n = 47 and α = 0, 05, obtained the value 1.669. It can be assumed that t count ≥ t table (10,156> 1.679 or sig < 0.05 ( 0.000≤ 0.05) then H a is accepted while H O is rejected, while the R square value in this study is 0, 696 which means that the classical teaching style influences the interest in learning by 69, 6 %.
Based on the results of data analysis, it has been concluded that there is an influence of the Classical Teaching Style on Student Learning Interest in Buddhist Religious Education in Bodhisattva Middle School in 2019. Bes aran such influence is 69, 6%, while 30.4 % influenced by other factors.
