Abstract

The aim of this research is to know and measure the influence of silent sitting to the achievement of learning. The reason why the research was done due to it has the problems surrounding of students' learning like the score they got. Students are still classified as passive when learning and have not reached their full potential, and good management has not yet been formed, other than that students have not realized that good habits in carrying out daily life can help improve learning achievement. This research was conducted at the Bodhisattva Elementary School in Bandar Lampung.
Silent sitting is an activity carried out with a sitting and calm attitude, observing breathing in and breathing out to have condition inner peace. It has three indicators, namely the concentration of peace and tranquillity. While learning achievement is the result of work or study effort which shows the size of proficiency or the form of values of expertise.
The research method used is descriptive quantitative research by design ex post facto. The subject of the study was the fifth-grade Students of Lampung Bodhisattva elementary school in 2019. The data collection technique was using a questionnaire at grades of fifth grade Bodhisattva Elementary School students in 2019 with the measurement scale was a Likert scale. Data were analyzed by using a simple linear regression analysis approach
The results of the data analysis resulted in the decision that "it has a positive influence of silent sitting on student achievement in class V as if the Bodhisattva Bandar Lampung Elementary in 2019" The amount of influence is 64.9% and 35.1% learning achievement is influenced by other factors.
