Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the extent of the influence of pedagogic competency towards student learning achievement in Bodhisattva Junior High School. Education is a deliberate and planned effort to help someone to learn and take responsibility, develop themselves and change behavior, so the beneficial is for the interest of individual and society. Problems that occur in Buddhist religion learning, the teacher is more predominantly use speech method in teaching, students learning less in the spirit of Buddhism learning, so the effect is on learning achievement. Based on existing problems, researcher interested in conducting research on The Influence of Buddhist Teacher Pedagogic Competency' Towards Student Learning Achievement in Bodhisattva Junior High School Bandar Lampung Academic Year 2013/2014.
Pedagogic competency is teachers' abilityin manage learning activities that directly related to the learners. Learning achievement is the result learning achieved by students, after undergoing learning process. Learning achievement obtained after someone do certain task, and the results in the form of numbers.
This research include quantitative research with data processing techniques based on the results of the deployment of the instrument. The tools that used to collecting data is in the form of koesioner with 48 statements of items that using a Likeart scale to answer. Total population in this reserach is 34 students. The steps that used to examine the influence is using simple linear regression using SPSS 16.0 and followed by t test.
.Based on the test results of the analysis of the obtained t value of 13,713 with a significant level of 0,000 < 0,05. it can be concluded that there is influence Pedagogic competency of the teachers of Buddhism to the students' achievement of junior high school of Bodhisattva school in 2013/2014.
Based on the research results, the researcher concludes that there is a positive effect between pedagogic competence on learning achievement. Hopefully the results of this the research can provide benefits to teacher education and Buddhism to readers in generally.
