Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the Relationship between Learning Discipline and Learning Responsibilities for Class VII & VIII Students in the Buddhist Religious Education Subject of the Bodhisattva Middle School in Bandar Lampung for the 2019/2020 Academic Year. Learning discipline is an attitude that is formed through a process of a series of behaviors for a person to learn consistently and consequently in an effort to gain knowledge.
Discipline is something that has to do with one's self-control over the forms of rules where the rules are applied by the person concerned or from outside. Discipline is defined as compliance with regulations, order, norms or subject to supervision and control (Subur, 2015: 297). Meanwhile, Learning Responsibilities are an obligation to complete the assignments that have been received through maximum effort and dare to bear all the consequences in learning.
This type of research is correlation research. The approach used in this research is the quantitative approach. The population in this study were students of class VII & VIII in Buddhist religious education subjects at SMP Bodhisattva Bandar Lampung, totaling 51 students. The number of students who were used as respondents to the instrument testing in this study were 15 students. Data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires, validity and reliability tests were carried out using the SPSS 16.0 program, then continued with simple linear regression analysis.
Based on the results of hypothesis testing and simple linear regression, the t value is obtained at 12.256 with a significant level of 0.000, while the t table with n = 51 and α = 0.05 is obtained with a value of 1.675. It can be assumed that tcount ≥ ttable (12,256> 1,675 or sig <0,05 (0,000≤0,05), then Ha is accepted, while HO is rejected, while the rhitung value in this study is 0.868 with a significant level of 0.000 which means that the learning discipline has a relationship with learning responsibility. Based on the results of the data analysis carried out, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between learning discipline and learning responsibility for students in grades VII & VIII in the Buddhist religious education subject at Bodhisattva Middle School in Bandar Lampung for the 2019/2020 academic year. The size of the relationship is 0.868 with a significant level of 0.000 at a very strong level.
