Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of parenting on students' kinesthetic intelligence on subjects of Buddhist education in class V SD Bodhisattva Bandar Lampung in the academic year 2017/2018. This research was conducted because there were several students who were noisy in the learning process, students ran and played when the teacher explained the material, students felt embarrassed when the teacher told them to sing and move in front of other students, students fought, students were less disciplined, there were some students who could not move appropriately, students who focus on sitting are not durable (often changing sitting position), students do not listen to instructions during the learning process.
Parenting is a pattern of interaction between children and parents not only pl ysical fulfillment needs (such as eating, drinking) and psychological needs (such as security, love), but also teaches the norms prevailing in the community so that children live in harmony with the environment. Kinesthetic intelligence shows a person's ability to au ively use parts or the whole body to communicate and solve problems.
The method used in this research is a descriptive quantitative method. The subjects of the study were all students of Buddhist class V SD Bodhisattva Bandar Lampung to align 35 students. The instrument used was a questionnaire with a Likert scale. Data were analyzed using a simple linear regression analysis approach using the SPSS 17.0 program and then continued with the t test.
Based on the results of hypothesis testing and simple linear regression, the value of the tcount value was 6.211 with a significance level of 0.000, while the t table with n = 3. and a = 0.05 was 1.692. It can be assumed that t count> t table (6.211> 1.692) then Ha is rccepted and Ho is rejected. The R square value in this study was 0.539, which means that parenting parents influence students' kinesthetic intelligence by 53.9%.
Based on the results of data analysis that has been done, it can be concluded that there is an influence of parenting parents on students' kinesthetic intelligence in subjects of Buddhist education class V SD Bodhisattva Banadat Lampung in the academic year 2017/2018. The magnitude of the influence is 53.9%, while 46.1% of students' kinesthetic intelligence is influenced by other factors not included in this study.
