Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the influence of kalyāna-mitta towards students' discipline of SMA Bodhisattva Bandar Lampung. This research is to be done because some students are lacking discipline, are boisterous, are late attending class, are not concentrated, and do not listen to the teacher's explanation.
Kalyāna-mitta is a friend who possesses knowledge, wisdom, and good conduct; cares for others, accepts without discrimination and leads his friends toward wholesome actions. Discipline is a condition that is created and formed through a process of a series of behaviours that indicate the values of obedience, obedience, loyalty, regularity and or order.
The method used in this research is the descriptive quantitative method. The research subjects are 37students of SMA Bodhisattva, The instrument used was a questionnaire with a Likert scale. Data were analyzed by using a simple linear regression analysis approach.
Based on the results of hypothesis testing and simple linear regression values t value of 5.623 with a significance level of 0.000, while the t table with n=35 and α=0.05 at 1.688. It can be assumed that t> t table (5.623> 1.688) or Sig <0.05 (0.000 <0.05),the Ha Ho accepted and rejected. While the value of R square in this study was 0.475, which means that the effect on discipline Kalyana mitta 47.5%.
Based on the analysis that has been done, in summary, there was an influence of kalyāna-mitta on the discipline of students of SMA Bodhisattva Bandar Lampung. The number of this influence is 47.5%, while 42.5% of students' discipline is influenced by other factors not included in this study.
