Abstract
Abtract
Buddhist Pancasila is the five basic moral principles in Buddhism that teach self-
control and correct behavior, which play a vital role in the development of emotional and
spiritual intelligence. Buddhist learning that instills the values of Buddhist Pancasila can
improve students' emotional intelligence, helping them manage their emotions and develop
positive social attitudes. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of learning
Buddhist Pancasila material on the emotional intelligence of Buddhist students at SMP 1
Gangga.
This study employed a quantitative approach. To determine the sample size for each
class, a professional allocation of 7 samples was conducted, consisting of 26 students in
grade VII, 38 students in grade VIII, and 23 students in grade IX. This study was conducted
at SMP 1 Gangga, with respondents from grades VII, VIII, and XI who were Buddhist, in the
2024/2025 academic year. The results of this study indicate a positive and significant
influence between learning Pancasila and Buddhism on students' emotional intelligence. The
t-value obtained for the significance value (p) is 0.001. From these results, it can be
interpreted that learning Pancasila and Buddhism has a positive effect on emotional
intelligence. The magnitude of this influence can be seen from the results of a simple linear
test that found an r-square value of 0.001, indicating that learning Pancasila and Buddhism
has an effect on emotional intelligence.
