Abstract
The purpose of this study is to describe the phenomenon of the implementation of distance learning, learning strategies, obstacles and efforts to overcome obstacles to the implementation of distance learning for elementary school teachers of Buddhist education in Bandar Sribhawono. The type of approach in this study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. The subjects in this study were elementary school teachers of Buddhist education in Bandar Sribhawono using observation, interview and documentation data collection techniques. Technical analysis of data used was analysis before the field and data analysis in the field Miles and Hubermen models and tested data using internal validity, external validity, reliability, and objectivity.
The implementation of Distance Learning at the Buddhist Religious Education Elementary School in Bandar Sribhawono applied online, offline, and a combination of online and offline. In processing the message of the Buddhist Elementary School teacher did heuristic strategies and expository strategies while if it is reviewed based on the type, the teacher uses indirect learning strategies and direct learning strategies.
Based on the results of the discussion, it was found that the implementation of distance learning had the following obstacles: 1) there were students who did not take part in learning. 2) students did not have mobile phones and internet data packages. 3) students felt bored in following the lesson. 4) students experienced the internet network problems. 5) The implementation of distance learning was not optimal because there were some students who learnt alone. These problems can be overcome by: 1) Buddhist Education teachers communicate directly or by telephone with the parents of students. 2) the teachers come to the student's house and provides a direct approach. 3) the school provides android cellphones to students who do not have communication tools.
