Abstract

The main purpose of this research is to determine whether there is influence of personal competence Buddhist teacher education on student achievement at SMA Bodhisattva Bandar Lampung. Personal competence is a personal ability that must be owned by professional teachers by reflects good personality to ourself, be prudent and wise, be mature and dignified and have noble character to become a good example for the
students in teaching Buddhism education. Education Buddhism not only in regards to the transformation of the teachings and values, but rather is a complex problem. Each Buddhist education learning activities will be dealing with complex problems,such as student problems with different backgrounds, in a state or condition of any material such as Buddhism was given, how to or approach should be used in the educational process of learning Buddhism, as well as what kind of attitude should be shown in the learning process, because directly or indirectly all these problems can affect student achievement in Budddhism Education.
The efforts to achieve a good learning performance is to give encouragement to the students to be able to master what they have learned to produce a good performance.Based on the description above, then in general the problem that is formulated in this study is the influence of personal competence Buddhist education teachers on student achievement at SMA Bodhisattva Bandar Lampung. This research is a field with a quantitative approach.
Based on the test results of the analysis of the obtained t value of 9.882 with a significant level of 0.000, while t_tabel with n = 43 and α = 0.005 obtained value of 1.681. It can be assumed that Sig. > 0.05, whereas if Sig Ha accepted. <0.05 then Ho is rejected. Seen from the above calculation states that the Sig 0.000 ≤0.05 so that Ho is rejected.So based on the results obtained that personal competence education teacher of Buddhism have a significant influence on student achievement at Bodhisattva Bandar Lampung High School Academic Year 2013-2014.
Based on the results of the research that researchers do that teacher education Buddhist Bodhisattva Bandar Lampung High School has a good personality competence in carrying out his duties as a lecturer for the sake of giving instruction to all students so that student achievement achieve optimal KKM. hopefully the results of this the research can provide benefits to teacher education and Buddhism to readers in general.
