Abstract
One of aspects which had to be achieved in the Bodhisattva high school education at grade XI (eleven) was the model of Cooperative Learning type Two Stay Two Stray. Learning by using the model of Cooperative Learning type Two Stay Two Stray was an ideal learning, because it allowed the students to learn optimally, which in turn it might increase the students' interest significantly. The use of learning style which was less varied in Buddhist subject affected the students' interest in learning. Students felt tired and less active in learning, so it required immediate treatment. Therefore, the writer would like to solve the problem by learning with the model of Cooperative Learning type Two Stay Two Stray. The aimed of this research was to determine whether there was an increased interest in student learning through the implementation the model of Cooperative Learning type Two Stay Two Stray at grade XI Bodhisattva High School in Buddhist subjects.
The model of Cooperative Learning type Two Stay Two Stray was a learning model using small groups which consisted of four to five people in each group. In this group learning, the students were required to work together well, able to socialize, able to work individually and collectively responsible in the learning activities to achieve objectives with a maximum result in the learning activities.
The research was conducted at Dublin High School Bodhisattva, using a type of class action research (PTK), who became the subject of research was the students of grade XI (eleven), amounting to twenty students. The variables of this research were the model of Cooperative Learning type Two Stay Two Stray as independent variables and the students' interest in learning as the dependent variable. Data analysis was carried out by several research phases: selection phase, phase of exposure, and the conclusion of the observation phase of the sheet observations made by observers I and II.
The results showed that in the first cycle reached the average percentage of 72.5%, the percentage of second cycle and third cycle of 77.5% increased by 17% the percentage of 94.5%. So the researchers did research cycle I, II, and III increased by 22%. It meant that the model of Cooperative Learning type Two Stay Two Stray can increase the students' interest at grade XI (eleven).
In conclusion, the model of Cooperative Learning type Two Stay Two Stray was able to increase the students' interest. The writer proposed the following suggestions: For your consideration, the teacher should do the teaching Buddhist subject by implementing the model of Cooperative Learning type Two Stay Two Stray.
