Hubungan Antara Kegiatan Religius Siswa Dengan Pemahaman Ajaran Buddha di SMB Bodhisattva

Religious activities at Bodhisattva Buddhist Sunday School (SMB), such as devotional puja, meditation, paritta recitation, and
religious character building, are an integral part of religious education. However, there is still a gap between the level of students'
participation in these activities and their understanding of Buddhism. This study aims to analyse the relationship between students'
religious activities and their level of understanding of Buddhism at SMB Bodhisattva. The method used is a quantitative approach
with a correlational design through survey techniques. The sample was taken saturated from 100 active students of SMB Bodhisattva.
The research instrument was a closed questionnaire using a Likert scale. Data analysis was conducted using the Pearson correlation
test through SPSS version 26. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between involvement in religious activities
and understanding of Buddhism. The indicators of puja bhakti and religious character habituation made the highest contribution to
the understanding. The findings confirmed that consistent religious participation is able to shape students' understanding of the core
values of Dhamma, such as the Four Noble Truths, the Law of Karma, and the Noble Eightfold Path. This research highlights the
importance of integration of spiritual experiences in the Buddhist non-formal education process. Practical implications include the
need for collaboration between SMB managers, teachers, parents, and the monastic community to create a conducive learning
ecosystem in shaping a spiritually and ethically superior Buddhist generation.
